Nestled conveniently between Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, and the Brandywine River Museum, the Fairville Inn is surrounded by scenes from the Wyeth family paintings and the year-round astonishing beauty of the Brandywine Valley. Built in 1837 by Caleb Windle, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Main House contains five guest rooms, the living room with fireplace and original pine floors, the dining room and reception office. The Carriage House contains four guest rooms and two suites, while the Springhouse contains four guest rooms. The Fairville Inn offers personal attention to every guest, providing a warm and familiar feeling to all. Our many returning guests are our best friends!
Fresh flowers graciously welcome you in every room. All rooms in the Carriage House and Springhouse feature a private deck or balcony with a peaceful view of our open rolling meadow or one of our flower gardens. Many guest rooms feature fireplaces in season. Breakfast consists of a continental buffet and a choice of three hot entrees. Afternoon tea is served daily (except holidays) in the Main House, together with a changing assortment of cheeses, Inn-baked goodies, and fresh fruit. |

| RESERVATIONS | Advanced reservations are recommended. A two night stay is traditional during weekends April-December see Fairville Inn's website page entitled, "Things to know," for exceptions. American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, personal checks, and cash are accepted. |
| CANCELLATION | Canceling within 10 days from scheduled arrival: Guest is responsible for the reservation, unless the room is re-rented. |
| CHECK-IN | Guests may check-in between 3 pm and 9 pm. Departure is generally before 11 am. If other arrangements are necessary, discuss them with the Innkeeper, and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs. |
| CHILDREN | In keeping with the expectations of our guests, well-mannered children over the age of 12 are welcome. Exceptions can be made for groups or families reserving the entire Inn |
| PETS | With apologies to our four-legged friends, pets are not permitted. Guests who miss their pets may get a chance to meet Ozzi, our friendly Black Lab/Border Collie mix, who sports piercing blue eyes and visits the Inn grounds occasionally in the company of one of the innkeepers. |
| SMOKING | In order to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our guests, smoking is not permitted in any rooms or buildings. |
| FEATURES | Each room is individually decorated in the Queen Anne style. Fourteen of our 15 rooms have either a queen or king sized bed, most with a full, or partial, canopy. One room as two twin beds, which can be converted into a king sized bed. All rooms have individually controlled hearing and air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone with unlimited local calls and complimentary long-distance, and wireless internet access. If you leave your lap-top at home, connect to the Internet through the guest computer in the living room of the Main House. Eight rooms feature a fireplace, in season, and eleven rooms have a deck or balcony. Our deluxe rooms and suites have robes.
