Because many of these restaurants are small and are popular with "the locals", reservations are recommended. We suggest you discuss your itinerary with your innkeeper so that he may assist you in obtaining a time of your choice.

We want you to have a delightful dining experience while visiting the Brandywine Valley. All of these restaurants are popular with both innkeepers as well as with their guests. If you wish additional choices, feel free to discuss your interests with your innkeeper.

Chef Kevin McMunn and his wife Marybeth Brown have moved their wildly populare BYOB restaurant to the historic general store in the heart of Unionville - and they bring with them their delicious New American menu and a lot of warmth & charm. The menu features favorites such as Blackened Sea Scallops with a Citrus & Habanara Pepper Coulis and Chipotle Caesar Salad along with some fabulous additions. The Gables at Chadds Ford is situated on land that was originally part of a 138 acre land grant from William Penn.The bank barn was built in 1897, and the farm became a traditional dairy farm until the late 1940s. It had several incarnations as a dairy bar,general store & a family diner before a complete renovation in 1997 as a simple yet elegant setting that offers a contemporary twist on traditional American cuisine, utilizing French and Asian influences. "Delaware Today Magazine" said that Luigi's "claim to fame" is romance for the eyes, the palate, and that you will forget that you are in Wilmington. The setting is cozy, a softly lighted charming restaurant with three small dining rooms counting eight tables. They could not decide the best dish they had but elected that the homemade pasta and fresh seafood along with milk fed veal were sure bets. $$$-$$$$.
