WINE TASTING IN THE BRANDYWINE VALLEY
The Brandywine valley is a home to a number of wineries, each specializing in a particular varietal. Tasting events begin in the spring. Ask your innkeeper to put together an intinerary for you based on your taste.

Brandywine Valley Wine Tastings & Events

You can visit the Brandywine valley any time during the year to taste the wines made here from grapes grown right here, but if you come any weekend in March you can take part in the Barrels on The Brandywine event put together by the wineries of the Brandywine Wine Trail. This event features tastings of the brand new developing vintage in barrels, buckets, bottles and more! One $25 Passport gives you a chance to venture into their cellars, see the new wines firsthand, and participate in pruning demonstrations, seminars, classes and more.

On July 4th the Brandywine Wine Trail wineries hold their Brandywine Valley Big Bang BBQ with great BBQ & Wine outings. Each of our vineyards and wineries is planning special picnic foods and fun from pig pickins to Chili cookoffs to a "roadkill" roast!

In the Fall there is the Harvest Festival another Brandywine Wine Trail Passport event. Activities include vineyard tours, tastings, music, picnicking, art shows and even a chance to experience harvest firsthand by picking grapes in some of the vineyards.

Come in May for the Brandywine River Blues Festival put on by the Chaddsford Winery on Memorial Day Weekend.
